Open Source Activities for July 2025

Debian trixie is currently scheduled for release on August 9th! As we’ve been getting closer to the full freeze, limited packaging work is being performed in unstable. So this past month my focus has been on RC bugs that stand in the way of the release.

Also, I attended my second in-person DebConf in Brest, France! During DebCamp I was able to fix 7 RC bugs and triaged an additional 13 RC bugs. In addition to meeting lots of people and enjoying good food, I was able to take a couple of days to do some sightseeing in Paris.

Highlights

  • Attended DebCamp and DebConf25 in Brest, France!
    • Fixed/triaged 20 RC bugs affecting trixie
  • OpenRCT2 v0.4.12 was uploaded to experimental
